Mayneord-Phillips Summer School on PET

We are pleased to announce this year's Mayneord-Phillips Summer School : 'Molecular Imaging with Positron Emission Tomography'St Edmund Hall, Oxford University, UKMonday 2nd July – Friday 6th July 2007A flyer can be found at http://mpss.iop.org/ We would be grateful if youcould bring the summer school to the attention of any colleagues who may beinterested in attending, thanksThe aim of the school is to explore the state-of-the-art andexciting new developments in Positron Emission Tomography. Members of the faculty are all leading authorities in theirfield including Terry Jones, Sibylle Ziegler, Vin Cunningham,Roger Gunn, Thomas Beyer, Tony Gee, John Clark, Phil Blower,Adrian Carpenter, Derek Hill, Tobias Schaeffter, Laurence Reed, Brian Hutton, Steve Mather, Mike O'Doherty, Eric Aboagye, Tim Fryer,Andrew Reader, Tony Ng and Kris ThielemansWHO IS THE SUMMER SCHOOL FOR ?The school is designed for PhD students, new post-docs and clinical scientists with a physics/maths/computing background who are workingin PET or a related area. The emphasis will be on interactive teachingand student participation is obligatory !WHAT WILL BE COVERED ? Technical aspects, including hardware, image reconstruction and dataanalysis, will be covered in depth, whilst chemistry, tracers andapplications will presented at a level appropriate to non-specialists.There will also be overviews of important related technology and applicationsWHERE WILL IT BE HELD ?St Edmund Hall in central Oxford.
